WINTER IN THE NORTHWOODS

The temperature drops and snow begins to fall as the area welcomes the 
quiet season of winter.  Cross-country skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling 
are just beginning.  This area is perfect for those seeking a glimpse into our winter wonderland!  Bring your snowshoes along and explore your way
into the Pelican Lake area.  

The snowmobile trails in our area are unmatched anywhere.  We are near the Arrowhead trail which links to over 500 miles of smooth, wooded and lake groomed trails.  Ride from your cabin door north to International Falls, south to Virginia/Grand Rapids, east to Crane Lake and the North Shore and west to the Lake of the Woods and beyond!  With and average snowfall of over 100" combined with trails being groomed twice weekly, you are almost guaranteed excellent conditions!  Moose, timber wolf and deer sightings are not uncommon while crossing these trails.  Click on the map for a larger image.  We are #57 on the map.

For those who come along to relax and enjoy the scenery, the groomed trails are the perfect adventure.  The beautiful lakes with easy access provide countless miles of cruising pleasure. And when you return to Norway Point, you can relaxing in your warm, comfortable cabin in front of the fireplace! For your convenience, we carry snowmobile oil and gasoline.
